“This was a fabulous tour with a fabulous tour guide, Julie, who lives in Montmartre and gave us a little history of the area in addition to the tastings. At each of our stops we got a taste of delectable, quintessentially French food and a real sense of why the French take such pride in their cuisine. Everything was incredibly fresh—quiche, a marvelous “merveilleux,” a macaron made that morning (usually a dry, thawed-out tasteless cookie from La Durée) that has spoiled us for life, pork rillettes with a tapenade on the side, and even more before sitting for a gorgeous selection of cheeses and charcuterie with baguettes to accompany it…”
